Chapter 14.2

There was a crash and they spun around.
“Hurry up! We’ve got company!” Neil yelled.
Randy grabbed Rosemarie’s arm. “Move!”
“The dog food!” she yelled.
“Leave it!”
“I can’t!” She jerked away.

“It doesn’t matter!” he yelled. “He doesn’t eat!”
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Guys!” Neil ran in. “Let’s go!”
Rosemarie drug a bag of food into the cart. “Help me push it!”
Randy moved to the front of the store, gun aimed and ready.
Neil grabbed the front of the cart and towed it forward. “There’s a pack of biters headed this way. We need to make tracks.”
Rosemarie grabbed a few more things and tossed them in the cart as they ran. Once they were outside, they began to dump things into the trunk. Randy stood on the other side taking shot after shot at the group of shambling undead.
“Get in!” she yelled.
Neil jumped in the driver seat again and Randy dropped a few more z-dudes before jumping in. After he was in, Neil punched the gas.
“Go!” Rosemarie yelled.
“It’s all wrong!” Randy began to say over and over.
Rosemarie reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him around to face her. “Randy, what’s all wrong?”
“The zombies, they’re all wrong.”
The side of the car slammed into the guardrail of a bridge and everything went black.
